Apply to Table at the Up! Fair

We’re pleased to announce that applications for table space at the Up! Fair are now open!

Much like other craft and art fairs with limited space, this will be a juried event. This means that we, the organization committee, will evaluate all applications and select a finite number to receive table space.

The table fee for selected applicants will be $50 for a full table (6′x2′), or $30 for a half table. More information on table fees and what costs they cover follows below the registration form.

What we’re looking for in an applicant: Self-publishers who demonstrate original and independent thinking not only in the work itself, but also in how they package and promote it. Perhaps most importantly, we’re interested in people who like to share their knowledge and skill set in the form of a hands-on workshop or demonstration at the event.

If this describes you, please fill out the fields below. If you do not have a website, please include at least 3 links to images of your work in the Bio field.

Applications will be accepted between June 4, 2010 and August 15, 2010. We will announce the applicants selected for table space by August 31.

You can contact us with any questions about this application.

Thanks for your interest in the Up! Fair!

About fees and costs

Table registration for the Up! Fair will be as follows:

  • $50 for a full table (6′x2′), two exhibitor badges, and two chairs
  • $30 for a half table (3′x2′), one exhibitor badge, and one chair

All exhibitors will be provided with lunch at the event. If you are selected to exhibit at the Up! Fair, you will be given a menu of options for your meal.

Why charge for tables?
First things first: we, the Up! Fair organizers, will not receive any income from this event. We’re donating our time and passion to make this fair a reality, but we still have to cover our operating costs, including things like:

  • Signage
  • Program printing
  • Exhibitor badges
  • Food for guests
  • Workshop materials (paper, pencils, flipcharts, markers)
  • Advertising and promotion

Even a small one-day event can cost several thousand dollars to operate. Charging a fee for tables at the Up! Fair ensures that we will have the resources to provide both exhibitors and attendees the best experience possible at our event.
